Lily’s special day! Last Friday we celebrated Lily’s birthday a little early because the girl’s close friends were coming for a visit all the way from Mississippi. The plan was to have the playhouse (found on Craigslist :-) in time for the party. Little did our new friend, Mr. Kevin, owner of the local H&S Auto - know it would take him almost 6 hours to deliver it on the back of his tow truck. It was a sight to see this house coming down the street at 10 pm. There was a lot of dancing and shouting in our front yard as they all watched him approaching. I am sure our neighbors were loving us!
It was a total surprise, and it did make it in time for the party which would be held the next day. Fourteen little girls were invited to embark on a fun-filled day of tea time & outdoor adventure. They were all told their carriage would await them. And sure enough, Mr. Jerry, our good friend and neighbor, came when the clock struck two with his horse and buggy. They went trotting about town laughing all the way.
Upon return we celebrated Lily with tea time and many treats. Then it was straight outside for “Bunny Spa” as well as visiting the nursery where the new born babies could be seen and touched. Later everyone decorated eggs in anticipation of Easter, and Daddy read “The Cross and the Egg” - written by a friend from Arkansas. There was much play in the playhouse too!
We are grateful to our friends who came to celebrate with us, and we are thankful for Lily! Her life is a gift to us ALL! Happy Birthday to our Easter Lily. (Born 4-5-04)
We Love YOU-
